646f9e108c Father William is an ambitious Catholic priest and former Vietnam veteran sucked into a world of crime, drugs, and duplicity. He investigates the murder of an old army buddy of his which leads him to a mysterious femme fatal, named Angelica. She draws him into a world of surreal weirdness while helping him look for his friend&#39;s killers. In so doing Father William stumbles upon a huge conspiracy to use his churcha central point for a variety of crimes. The crime trail leads from a corrupt local sheriff to the shady archbishop who is not who he appears to be. I actually saw this before it was entirely finished, since I was friends with the director, William, at the time. Parts were a little slow, and the person castthe &quot;romantic lead&quot; was way too young for the part, but altogether it wasn&#39;t a bad first effort. My major complaints were that the plot wasn&#39;t terribly believable and the &quot;aging&quot; on the lead was just silver hair spray. There was an interesting twist at the end, though, when you find out who the bad guy really is. I think that was my favorite part in the movie. Of course, it was the END (and if William ever reads this, he will probably never forgive me!)! Despite the fact, that Stefan Lysenko in the roleFather William looks much too young to have served 1971 in Vietnam this is a very interesting little film with a great cinematographic style.<br/><br/>It is about a conspiracy in the catholic church. Father William, a Vietnam Veteran, who promised to dedicate his life to God when surviving the war, is witness, when his best friend gets murdered. His murderers think, he has told anything to William so they sent out a sexy Femme Fatale (Carla Sofia Lescius in a fine role).<br/><br/>She seduces him and gives him acid so he would tell the truth. Father William is now on his acid trip. When he came back from his trip he finds out more about the conspiracy but falls in love with the girl. Bad for him: Frank Love (William Smith, goodalwaysthe bad guy) and his mobsters think, that Father William knows much more than he tells.<br/><br/>It finally comes to one last showdown …<br/><br/>Great music, brilliant cinematography, who pays references to Roger Corman&#39;s &quot;The Trip&quot;, a fascinating but sometimes confusing story and great actors even in the supporting roles. The bad guys here are the best actors from the US-Independent scene: William Smithmobster Frank, the always great Joe Estevez, Robert Z&#39;Dar (who gets killed much too soon here)Dino in a very funny role, Airwolfs Jan-Michael Vincent and Timothy &quot;That&#39;s my Bush&quot; Bottoms.<br/><br/>This film is really worth to watch. Give it a try!
